Exploring New Materials – Timeless Techniques

Polymer is a most versatile of mediums because of the ease with which it can be combined with other materials. In this presentation we will explore new mediums to use in combination with polymer as well as familiar materials in new ways.

Some of these materials include thermal films, cement, metal coatings, recycled materials, pencil/pastels and more. Timeless techniques and how they can innovate our polymer art will also be explored. Some of these techniques
include sgraffito, carving, impasto, assemblage, collage, scrimshaw, resists and
more.

The presentation will feature multiple artists’ work.
