What is Retreat Plus?
When we started to plan Synergy4, we wanted to include a room for people who like to reconnect with their worldwide polymer friends and have ‘hands-on’ with clay in their own workspace. This room will have its own program, but we are also giving attendees the opportunity to experience part of the Conference program by attending the General Sessions. Of course, all social events and meals are for everyone attending the event, regardless of registration option.
General Sessions are presentations of overreaching interest to attendees. These may include talks on design or color theory, or showcase an artist or organization whose achievements in polymer are noteworthy. These sessions take place in the ballroom and are open to both Conference and Retreat Plus! attendees.
What is a Breakout Session?
Breakout Sessions are smaller, more intimate presentations on specific topics. The topics and schedule are arranged so that Conference attendees can pick and choose those sessions that interest them most. At Synergy4, a new type of session, Challenges are included in the selections.
Past topics have included subjects like social media for artists, new color mixing theories, caning techniques, enhancing creativity, and bookkeeping for artists. Breakout Sessions are open to Conference track attendees.
