Artists want to take control of their websites but are often intimidated by the technology needed to do so. In this presentation, attendees will be introduced to the WordPress content management system, which can manage an entire artist website including image galleries, contact forms, social media connectivity, online shopping and blogging.

Barbara Forbes-Lyons as over 25 years of experience in software training, documentation, and website development using content management systems like WordPress, Joomla, and Drupal. She is a former Executive Board member of the International Polymer Clay Association, co-founder of the Synergy Conference (along with Judy Belcher and Maggie Maggio), and chaired the first two IPCA Retreats in Chicago, IL. She is the current webmaster for the IPCA.
Barbara has enjoyed artistic expression from a young age, after discovering beads at the local macrame supplies store. She is a PMC Certified Instructor, teaches polymer and metal clay classes in North Florida, and volunteers for a number of local and national organizations.
