A Letter from the President of the International Polymer Clay Association

Dear IPCA Members,
There has been a lot going on behind the scenes at the IPCA as the Team works towards defining and refining our mission and value to our IPCA members and the polymer community as a whole.

Social Media

We are increasing our efforts to reach polymer enthusiasts through social media.

IPCA Facebook Public Group

We are pleased to announced that the IPCA team is refreshed and ready to open up the group to posting again! We appreciate your patience while we were trying something new but, as it turns out, we miss your beautiful artwork being shared in the group. During the first week of March we will be reworking the Group Rules and opening the group to new members and public posting. Let’s wake this group up again, show us what you’ve made!

Newsletter

We know that our publication International Polymer Clay was very popular, but in today’s streaming world, we want the information we have to be available more frequently. Starting with this issue, we will be sending out frequent Member and Polymer Community newsletters through a white-listed newsletter service. To ensure you get our messages, be sure to add This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. and This email address is being protected from spambots. Newsletters will feature in depth articles, member spotlights, product reviews, event calendars and more. If you or your polymer group would like to see your efforts in (digital) print, please email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

Volunteer Opportunities

After many long years of service, Maria Alexandrou is stepping down from her role as Vice President - Rest of the World. Maria is concentrating on her family and her recent promotion at work. We are so very grateful for her, in so many ways. Friend, polymer evangelist, outreach genius....it's a long list.

The International Polymer Community is vast, but vibrant and growing. If you, or someone you know, is interested in representing the areas outside of North, Central, and South America, please contact me directly.

We are also seeking regional representatives for the IPCA. These are often members of local guilds, groups, or associations and serve as a conduit for information to and from the IPCA. If you are interested in this role, please contact our Vice President - Americas, Beth West, at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

I look forward to seeing you on Facebook and elsewhere on the polymer web!

Barbara Forbes-Lyons
IPCA President
